Great place that's worth the drive offering uniquely legal-inspired named wines. We followed a long winding gravel road up to the top of the hill to find a small but terrific winery. We were greeted by a friendly host that was quick to answer any question we may of had. They have a decent wine selection to choose from with a few food items to pair them with. The wines we tried were absolutely delicious and I found my all time favorite wine "Serenity" there to boot. The charcuterie board we tried was yummy and full of various meats, cheeses, crackers, breads, etc... Great place, beautiful and scenic location, terrific wines. We returned the other day and were all equally impressed. Tried some different wines than before and fell in love with a whiskey based wine named "Not Guilty" that we ended up buying 3 bottles of...

We were driving through Clinton, IA and wanted to explore the area. We found this gem of a place; Wide River Winery. This hidden place was close to the Mississippi River but not directly on but overlooking the river. Driving up a long naturist gravel road until signs marked directions where the winery was located. We went in late afternoon on a Monday and were pleasantly surprised they were open. Only another couple there and just leaving making it our quiet afternoon getaway. The staff friendly and engaging. The place clean with beautiful views. Had a couple of glasses of wine and enjoyed the beautiful day. Definitely have to visit this place in the fall when the leaves begin to turn their marvelous colors. They also serve hors d’oeuvres....

I have no complaints! The wine, view, service and dining areas are amazing! The outdoor area is great! The road coming up is crazy! I would not want to do that drive in the winter or the rain. I will say, if you think you’re going the wrong way, you’re actually going the right way. They do a good job at posting signs to help you get there. It’s all part of the experience. I’m really impressed with the wine and selection. I was very pleased with my sweet red. It was raspberry heavy, which I love so I think that’s why I loved it so much even though I’m a semi-dry drinker. I got the Pursuit Of Happiness. Great little find! We stumbled across this simply by driving by their sign on...
