This was a very pleasant surprise. Expected to be tourist attraction, instead it is the real deal. Very very old church (150 yrs old or so). Immigrants who built their own church next to their home and next to where they were buried. The road is unpaved but worth the drive!

What a quirky little place in the middle of a slice of quietness. I wouldn't call this a destination but if you are in the area and passing through it is worth a brief stop just from a "well, that was weird, but kind of cool" standpoint.

Way off the beaten path but very interesting and worth the drive. Bring a picnic and spend the afternoon at the park. Chapel was kinda creepy to be standing in, but made it all the better experience.

So peaceful here. Well maintained and there is a donation box so you can contribute. Very tiny chapel, lovely. Stained glass windows are simple, but pretty. The cemetary is well maintained also. Interesting to see very old headstones. A small park between church and Turkey River with a picnic table for a little picnic or snack. Some nice trees close together in the park, perfect for a hammock nap. A port-a-potty, if needed. Note: you do have to travel over some gravel roads for about 2 miles. Glad we stopped. We ate our pie that we purchased at another roadside attraction in Decorah (the Viking holding a piece of...

We were the only ones there. They have a sign it book. The people before us were from Spain. Looks small from the outside but the property is tells a big story. Very charming. So glad we found it. The church and little cabin were unlocked and you were able to go in. They ask...
