Hicks Canyon Trail is a nice walking trail appropriate for all levels. DO NOT follow the google directions though. It takes you to a gated neighborhood you cannot enter. Park at Hicks Canyon Park or at Meadowood Park. The trail meets up with Peter's Canyon Trail on the North and Jeffery Open Space Trail at the south end. There is a paved path and a non paved path throughout the trail so it is good for walking, biking, horses, and wheelchairs. There are water fountains at the park at thend but nothing else. It's short enough to don't need to bring water but if you extend to the other trails it's a good idea.

A good trial for family of all ages. It has a hard road and mud road side by side. Kids will really enjoy the mud road which has a lots of tree’s trunk. There is a small creek on the side which is interesting. It may have water during the rainy season. The roads are shard for both walking and biking. The hard road it narrow compared to other trials. If you walk until the end then you can see the end of Jeffrey trial. We say a lots of parrots and a few bunnies. A must trial to try.

If you are looking for a nice quiet trail to walk on in Irvine, you’ve found the right trail. Hicks Canyon Trail is a great trail for walking, running, jogging and even bike riding. The trails are charming, nestled between beautiful homes and accessible to mainly the local residents but is open to the public. This trail is serene, with views of many trees and a moutainous landscape as a backdrop in the distance. The trail is wonderful and people are very respectful.

Easy walking/biking path in Irvine. Came here on a Saturday morning for a walk, and there was a brisk amount of people on the trail. It’s still open during covid. Parking is available at the Hicks Canyon Park for free. Note that if you enter the trailhead on Google maps, it’ll lead you to a gated community. No close street parking is available.

The trail is paved and there is a wider compact dirt option right next to the trail for runners/walkers. Certain parts of the trail were closed when we went but you can easily circle back. The trail is family-friendly and good for small kids. Bathrooms are available at the park. The trail is very clean and well-maintained. It’s a flat walk and good for beginner exercisers. Overall, not a place for when you want a strenuous workout, but a good option for when you want to take a leisurely stroll or have...
