Turtle Rock Canyon Apartment Homes — Attraction in Irvine

If you work at home or you are at home during the weekdays for any reason, you will hear what I am going to say! Living at Turtle Rock Canyon Apartment Homes is like living at construction zone! The roof changing project is taking nearly one (1) year and there is still a long way to complete! There are around 52 buildings here and the smart managers or whoever is responsible for this pathetic project with poor planning, decided to attack all the roofs and change them all one after another, without thinking of how this noise and chaos could affect those residences, who are at home during the day or those, who have small children or sick family member at home. Also, some of us have pets at home and as you know pets are so sensitive about noise and it makes them panic! Anyway, I know that, changing the roof is part of the maintenance in order to keep the buildings in good shapes and it happens every ten to twelve years, but at least the project managers could have a minor courtesy and plan properly for this project. They could think about all the aspects. They could break this big and noisy project in several pieces and complete it gradually and give us a break. The biggest lesson is learned! If you are planning to rent a place at any of these apartment homes, please go and visit the community during the weekdays, not on the weekends. Take one day off from work! Believe me it worth it. Go and see if there are any big projects going on or not! Look at all the ceilings and see if there is any loose tile on the roofs! See if there is any trucks or not! See if there is any greenish tile on the roofs or not! If yes, keep that in mind that they will be changed soon. If you see any of those, just make a U-Turn...

We lived here for almost two years, and only left because we bought a home in the surrounding area. We had two children while we lived here, one of which we brought home from the hospital in the apartment. The leasing office shared in the excitement of our big moments as a family. Our oldest daughter spent most of her time roller blading, bike riding, scootering, or walking her dog and we felt confident letting her do so without us watching her like a hawk.

This community is filled with a beautiful mixture of "lifers" who came to rent years ago and never left, young families wanting to be at the local elementary school, or people like us just waiting for the right home to become available nearby. We made friends with all of our neighbors in our specific driveway, and then some. We spent most of our free time walking/hiking through Turtle Rock and the surrounding areas. The cool breeze and greenery all around is spectacular.

The leasing office was fast and responsive to all of our issues or requests. The apartment itself (3 bedroom townhome) lived beautifully, we simply outgrew the space. Specifically, Terri was lovely to interact with whenever we needed something, or even just to have a friendly conversation with. We always felt confident that if we had an issue or request that it would be handled appropriately and timely.

This community was worth every penny we spent toward the rent, and bonus, they installed Google Fiber! What an inexpensive game changer for internet/wifi particularly in these times when we are all working/schooling...

I have only GREAT things to say about living at Turtle Rock Canyon! I lived here just over 2 years and was sad to leave for my out of state move this summer. This community is the perfect place for (3) great reasons: PEOPLE: Stellar, caring and professional staff who make this a great place! (especially the Manager, Terri Salinas, the head of service and operations, Nick Toledo, and head of community relations, Melanie Pineda). The staff make a tremendous difference and this team is absolutely the best! Attentive, helpful and genuinely wanting every resident to enjoy their home in Turtle Rock. QUIET & BEAUTIFUL LOCATION: Surrounded by many trees, walking trails and across the street from a beautiful park, this is a nice community (NOT one of those busy mega-complexes with 500+ units and all the associated noise, traffic, etc.) If a nice, quiet home in a smaller rental community is what you're looking for, this is it! NICE FLOORPLANS & PATIOS/BALCONYS: Units are clean, well kept and well appointed. The common areas are also kept up nicely which really makes a difference. The single-car garage has a huge storage shelf in the back and the unit has good closets/interior storage as well. I had a 2BR/2BA unit on the ground floor and it was a great unit!

I had searched over 20 apartment complexes including (6) other Irvine Company apartment communities before making my selection of Turtle Rock Canyon. I chose the best! Everything through my move out too was great. Smooth, easy, no issues! Thank you again Turtle...
