Rappahannock Oyster Co. — Attraction in Irvington

Restaurant has a wonderful outdoor seating area with very nice shading for the hot days and it had a very nice breeze coming on shore that kept it quite pleasant while eating outside. If you was excellent of the bay and Marina and also the working part of the oyster company. Wifey had the half a dozen oyster plate which she thoroughly enjoyed. And also she had a seafood roll which she also throwly enjoyed. For the non-seafood person, I had the cheeseburger with chips that were cooked to order and the chips were also very flavorful.

The service was very nice. The only drawback for me is that they charge me for a refill on sweet tea. Lots of room available for dog friendliness and parties with plenty of room in between tables for our dogs not to...

We ordered the oysters and we’re very impressed with the quality and service. The Oysters arrived in perfect condition and also a few hours before the predicted time. That worked out even better!! The quality is one of the best we have ever ordered or had. Fresh and perfect. We are really pleased with the company and this was our first order through them. Will definitely order from them going forward. Not only were the Oysters perfect but their service over the phone was very impressive. This Thanksgiving we ordered shellfish from Rappahannock River Oysters, LLC. We highly recommend doing this; outstanding product with great customer service!

When the order arrived, we decided to start the feast a day early; The middleneck Olde Salt Clams (Chincoteague) were great in a clam bake with gulf shrimp & sausage on Wednesday.

While the turkey finished on the smoker, sampling the various oysters was a hit with the whole family. The Rappahannock River (Topping), Rochambeau (Yorktown) & Olde Salt (Chincoteague) oysters were awesome on the half shell. Each had a distinctive flavor and finish; each was someone's favorite.
