Very nice trail that passes a large meadow where you can stop for a picnic on the way back to the lot. Downhill most of the time after the lawn so prepare for a moderate uphill out. Mostly clean but I saw a few disposable surgical masks and tissues stowed in the tree roots like they are a trash can 🙄 Not too busy in the afternoon, and super green in a sunny day in March. Path a bit soggy but never an issue with footing. I love the shaggy old growth here.

Update: Visited again in May. The bridge has been replaced with new materials and the waterfall has slowed quite a bit. Be aware that there are many small animals around - so tread lightly and...

Beautiful, tall mossy trees surrounding a picturesque waterfall. Relatively short hike along a family friendly trail. But beware: it's easy to get lost and turned around. We ended up hiking nearly 5 mi instead of 2 because we got turned around. There are multiple trailheads and parking lots to get into the trail system (so don't just follow someone to a parking lot). Signs are frequent but trails intersect and meander in confusing ways. Also, the trail can be muddy in places so hiking boots recommended in the rainy season. Everybody on this trail was very mask conscious and polite. Definitely a beautiful wilderness area...

It makes me not want to come here again even though the hike was really gorgeous and not too difficult. About 30 to 40 minutes each way. The falls were beautiful. People weren't super covid cautious with masks today. Doggie poop bags and masks along the trail. Pick up your trash, people!!!! And maybe they should get some surveillance for that trailhead lot already. I would definitely park at a different...
