Comprehensive Review: Great vistas in all directions. I visited in June when the area was full of mountain laurels in bloom. Driving up Camelback Road you'll see a parking area off to the right. This is one of several lots for hunting in the park. Across from the park sign there's a way to access the 3 mile south hiking trail, one of four longer trails in the park. Just before Loop Road Is the top of the ski lifts for Camelback resorts which has a lease with the park. And nearby is the Summit House restaurant with its breath-taking views from the mountain. Two small trails will take you through the trees to much better views. In the center of the loop is a road with several features. There's an airlift field for emergencies and a fire tower. You'll also see the Cattell Cabin built in 1908. The Friends of Big Pocono group sometime sponsor some open hours at the cabin for viewing. There's a sizable parking lot at the end and a non-flush bathroom. From here you can hike or bike, but bikes are only allowed on the paved roads. Horseback riding is allowed on both paved roads and trails. This section has multiple learning boards, mostly about the numerous bird species attracted to this area. One spot has a viewing scope to get a better look at the vista. Picnic tables with charcoal grills and a few benches to sit and reflect are scattered about. There are many other activities nearby outside the park, and there's even a dinosaur! Watch the you tube video slideshow at:...

Keep in mind that the park is more of a nature preserve, so there aren't many recreational facilities beyond hiking and picnicking.
