Elicker's Grove Park — Attraction in Jackson Township

I’d like to begin by acknowledging that the park itself is in a fairly nice and secluded location, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall experience was overshadowed by a series of unprofessional and unacceptable behaviors that occurred during our rental.

Upon arrival, the individual identified as the park “keeper” (who also resides in the trailer next to the park) initially presented himself as friendly. We were allowed to drop off our items early in the morning, which we appreciated. However, we soon discovered that he had been helping himself to our beverages—both alcoholic and non-alcoholic—without permission. At first, we chose to overlook this, assuming it was a misunderstanding.

Unfortunately, it escalated when he invited two of his friends, who also began eating and drinking from our supplies. We politely asked them to leave, thinking that would be the end of it. However, he returned not long after with four more guests, again helping themselves to what we had brought for our private event. At this point, it became clear that our initial request had not been respected.

We were deeply uncomfortable with the situation, especially when one of his guests became rude and confrontational after being asked to leave. This behavior, likely fueled by intoxication, was completely inappropriate and made our guests feel uneasy.

To add insult to injury, we were then charged an additional $100 for allegedly exceeding the agreed guest count—despite the fact that his invited friends had consumed our food and drinks throughout the day, from approximately 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

This experience was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. We rented the space with the expectation of privacy, respect, and basic decency—none of which were upheld. I hope this message is taken seriously, as no future renter should be subjected to a...

Reading reviews I was expecting a nice park. There was food waste, garbage, beer cans and bottle caps everywhere across the grounds. I don't know if this is normal or a bad rental just came through this past weekend... Spent a solid 20 minutes picking up garbage and there's tons left. Disappointing to come across. The place generally looks unkempt; picnic tables leaned on trees, used charcoal just dumped across the ground, no bags in trash cans, extension cord left laying across the lawn, broken swingset, etc. This park needs some...

Depends on the event being held.. Elickers grove is a nice place with a pavilion surrounded by large trees and other buildings set around the main covered pavilion with a large stage. Great for outdoor entertainment...
