This area is a beautiful place to hike and relax. A couple points to keep in mind - It IS a swamp that floods the trails regularly. As such there are times that the trails on the lower areas are inaccessible. Additionally once the waters recede the bugs come out. Dress appropriately for mosquitos - you will regret it otherwise. Also its impossible except for the dead of winter to make a full loop around the trails. This is because one if the dikes has burst and the bridge across is no longer accessible.
Be smart about hiking and you will be rewarded with some fantastic views, glimpses into the past (I know of at least three stone structures that exist across the various trails) and a peaceful place to...

One bridge is OUT though on the trail so the Manzomani trail is an out and back trail now. If you do the shorter 2 mile section rather than the 4-4.5 mile loop like we tried to do though, you should be good. (Sometimes our feet were sinking in the mud in the section of trail nearest to the southernmost edge of the Manzomani trail) Definitely worth...

I personally like mountain biking here because unlike a single track, you and another biker (or two) can ride along side each other and hold a conversation easily. More than once there has been a fallen tree crossing the trail. The trail has never been crowded or empty. It’s relatively flat and offers a few great lookout areas for pictures or what have you. There is some history to read and learn about dating back (atleast) a couple of decades. Overall, a good nature walk/ride that can be enjoyed by many types of...
