Not a park, it is public hunting ground. Nothing here but forested mountain land, some streams and ponds, and a few trails. Oh, almost forgot, also has some of the nastiest scrub oak and laurel you can imagine. Oh yeah, then there are the swamps you can get lost in. Wide variety of terrain from scary steep to mildly hilly with deep hollows, flat benches, rock outcrops, and patches of stuff you wish you never entered. There are also open woods in places where you can see for hundreds of yards. Gated roads and fire breaks intersect throughout it.Truly an amazing parcel of land. I know there is quite a few coyotes but the deer numbers are low,don't care what the game commission says. The oaks just don't seem to be producing enough acorns. They have clear-cut alot over the past few years, I saw alot more deer before they did this. Just don't understand, the thought process of cutting out most of the oaks and not providing anything for the deer to eat. Varied terrain, from wide double track to gnarly single track, mud to rocks to deep sand (naturally deposited sand no less!).
