One of the best views of the Grand Teton range can be found from here. The view gets more dramatic if there is water in the Snake river, the fall colors in peak, the mountain range is covered in snow, the sky is clear, and the sun is at the right angles. I know that is too much to ask, but the view definitely gets better. We did find peak fall colors, water, and a clear sky. What we missed was some snow. We heard bugling elks at the river bank, saw swans in the river. There was some crowd, but did not feel like crowded. The early October morning was perfect. Just remember, from Oxbow Bend, you see Mount Moran, not Grand Teton. I am rating based on the view I had, if there was some snow, it is a five star. Read moreOxbow bend (of the Snake river) is one of the greatest viewing spots on planet earth. Words cannot describe the beauty of this spot! During your time at Grand Teton / Yellowstone, I recommend stopping her EVERY TIME you pass it. Be sure to stop by in the early morning and right at sunset. Mountains in the back ground, clear water of the snake river in the foreground. This turnout is on a highly traveled road so be careful as you come and go. The traffic can be pretty wild. If you have a little time, take the dirt road nearby and drive to the edge of the snake river canoe/kayak launch near the sign that describes the old cattleman's bridge. This will give you an -up-close view of the...

Look up her Wikipedia page, or her Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook page..) You will often see a hundred vehicles pulled over on the sides of the road just waiting for a glimpse of 399. Wildlife photographers line up with their tripods and gigantic cameras and run up the street every time the bear moves. The rangers show up and are beside themselves telling everyone to back up and get out of the road. It's quite a show. She has FOUR...
