Hanley Farm — Attraction in Jacksonville

We went to the Harvest festival. We went because the activities were free and with small kids didn't want to spend $50 on entrance fee and activities at other places. I guess everyone else had the same idea because it was packed! We were in line most of the day waiting. Also, NOT DOG FRIENDLY. We came in with our dog as we did not find anything that said no dogs. We paid to get in and passed at least 8 "staff" members, not one of them said a thing, he even got on the hay ride! Then my husband went to put the kids pumpkins in the car and he was not let back in because of the dog. I don't if he was the owner or the event manager. Other staffers were telling him to let my husband back in because they let us in with 3 kids (one being an infant in a moby wrap), he did not care and threatened to call the cops while my husband was waiting for us to come out. So I can't speak much about Hanley Farms, other than my Class Reunion was held there on the property. Very nice grounds and restrooms were clean. Restrooms are single serve so could pose a problem if multiple people had to go at the same time. This place was quite serene and I could imagine a good place for Weddings. Nice historic spot. Hanley offers a step back in time. Hard work, simple things, ag, animals, outdoors they were the driving factors. See old world charm, a families legacy in their house and land.
