My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience today at Valley View Winery. I went to Valley View Winery for the first time about 7 years ago. It was a different winery then. Today it has an amazing new wine maker, his wife (who was running the tasting room today) and they have done an all new take on this beautiful Winery. She gave us so much background on the winery including their history and the direction they have taken the wines. Too many award winners to list here. The tasting room has amazing views to the west, overlooking the vines, mountain peaks and their barn where all the processing, labeling and bottling occurs. We enjoyed every wine they had on their tasting list today, but especially their Chardonnay and their Syrah. I am not a huge Pinto Noir fan but they have the best Pinot Noir I think I have ever had! The winery is just outside the small town of Ruch which is only a short drive from Jacksonville. Dog friendly, beautiful inside and outside seating areas including a grassy area. The parking lot is right next to the tasting room. A gorgeous, family run operation that is a must visit for any wine tasting trip to the Applegate Valley!

My daughter and I had the best experience here Sunday June 15th, 2025. I hate seeing the bad reviews from years ago because this place was amazing. I'm not sure if it's new owners or new server or what, but it was fantastic. I didn't get our servers name, but he was an older gentleman with longer hair. He was fantastic. Instead of just having a list of 4 or 5 wines to try, he asked what kind of wines we liked and focused our tastings on that. It was great because my daughter and I both like different wines. We each got I think 8 samples and hers were all different than mine, so we could try each other's too. They had live music playing out on a beautiful lawn area with a great view. Others were bringing their own snacks which I thought was great that that was allowed. The tastings were complimentary if you purchased a bottle, which of course we did. Of all the wines we tasted there were only 2 we didn't care for. Both were Chardonnay, which I'm never a big fan of. Their Malbec was amazing. The only con I can think of was the big dog walking around, while people were trying to eat.

Made it to Valley View this afternoon as an overnight stop on our 5 month RV trip. Mark and Brock greeted us warmly and then proceeded to introduce us to the wonderful wines the vineyard has to offer. We enjoyed the tasting so much that several bottles will be making the trip home with us. If you get the chance, take time to stop by this beautiful winery tucked in the mountains of Oregon. You won't be disappointed.

The worst experience with a purchase ever. I mail ordered wine. The email/text updates I signed up for never happened. The automatic shipping link was for the wrong mail carrier. Two weeks later, I emailed them to get the status on my order. Then I got the information I needed, and was told it was not UPS (which shows up on their website with my tracking number). All of my correspondences were with one of the owners, Michael. He blatantly ignored questions I had asked (several times); and gave vague replies. Very ignorant. One of the wine bottles was not what I ordered. After blaming his business associate for that mistake, he said he'd look into it, and I never heard from him again. I will NEVER deal with this place again. Avoid this company...
