Cooold water on a hot, humid sunny day was exceptional. We (2 adults and two 12 year olds)went 2 days after a tropical wave with significant rain and were not able to get to the first waterfall but swam in the pools just before it. The waterfall was raging and just beautiful. We went on a Saturday morning from 9-11 am and had the place to ourselves. With that being said I strongly advice getting there through the Peñuelas side, the roads were better, bigger and everything seemed to be straight. (Don’t listen to tour GPS, once you are in Peñuelas, set it to Soplaera) PLEASE...
