We had a wonderful experience at JLH. Lindsay was helpful and really worked with us to bring our daughter's elegant but sparkling wedding to a perfect place. The decor was so lovely, and Lindsay worked hard to find the exact colors we needed. The recommended baker, Laura Roberds, made a beautiful cake and delicious, beautiful cupcakes. Likewise, their recommended DJ, Troy Hanna (T-Bone Disc Jockey) Kept everyone on the dance floor and helped move things along with any necessary announcements. The recommended florist, Lindsay Musgrave, listened to my daughter's vision and made suggestions which made the event even more beautiful. Our day coordinator, Angela, was helpful and calming. Our photographer, Stephanie Jade, worked with us to get the shots we wanted. We are eagerly awaiting our photos. We used an outside caterer and Lindsay and Angela made sure that everything ran smoothly.
Our guests were effusive in their praise for the day. Everyone had a great time.
Overall, it was a great experience for a rustically elegant (yes, that is a thing!) wedding. I think if you choose this venue, and you realize that it is truly a working farm, run by a real professional who is also a busy mom, you can have the same memorable and virtually perfect day for your wedding. It has...

We had a large wedding (about 250 guests) and struggled to find a venue in the Montgomery County area that would accommodate that many guests. The barn was wonderful and spacious and, because we had the option of combining banquet and circle tables, we were able to fit all our guests no problem. The barn and property itself are enough of a reason to book this place. Our pictures are absolutely stunning and there are many other photo spots on the property that we simply didn't have time to take pictures by, or we would have. The barn has lots of upstairs space for the bridal party, and the reception area is covered in twinkle lights which makes for pretty pictures inside too. I can't necessarily speak to the staff or the manor now because when we got married this venue was called JLH and I think ran by different people. But I will absolutely testify to just how incredible the property is and how much fun we had taking pictures here! I tried to add pictures to this review that showcased the different spots on the property we used for photos (mainly the willow tree, fence line, pasture, and bridge) as well as how we used the space...
Read moreBasically, I had to make the best of my big day for myself. There are a few different wedding packages to choose from, we chose the all in one day w/ the addition of a $300+ “wedding coordinator” who did pretty much nothing. The first meeting was pretty assuring, however, every day after that, had me completely on edge. Their communication SUCKS. When asking for correct information, they seemed very confused. Thankfulky, the day of, the wedding coordinator I had been “assigned” bailed (w/ no communication) & was replaced w/ Mitsy who was absolutely AMAZING. She was the only staff I had a pleasant and reassuring feeling with. The place is gorgeous, however, there was several things not in place as we originally planned them to be. I would recommend this barn to an existent. It is a pretty place, a bit of a travel from Indy, however, like i said, their communication sucks and they actually don’t follow thru w/ plans & seems annoyed or confused when asked about the previous said plans. I met Mitsy the day of my wedding and she was honestly amazing, wish I could’ve worked w/ her the entire months of planning i did w/ JLH wedding barn. Strong 3 but...
