Great spot for different aged kids in Peace Park playground. It’s in Rockford park. There’s a swimming pool, wide open grass areas, little kid playground and bigger kid adventure climbing playground. Street parking. Accessible swing.

There’s something magical about the trails at Rockport Park. Wandering through the trees, it feels less like a city park and more like stepping into your own version of the Hundred Acre Woods. It’s quiet, peaceful, and full of little moments that make you want to slow down and just listen—to the wind in the trees, the birds, the crunch of leaves underfoot.

The wooded trails wind through a huge stretch of untouched nature, and even though you're still in Janesville, it feels like you're a world away. Whether you’re out for a thoughtful walk, a morning run, or just letting your kids explore, the place has a calming energy that’s hard to explain but easy to feel.

It’s one of my favorite spots to clear my head, reconnect with nature, and find that kind of quiet you don’t get too often anymore. If you're looking for a trail that gives you peace, a little wonder, and maybe even a bit of nostalgia, Rockport...

I never really go to the playground area as I don't have any kids, one time me and some friends went at night so it wouldn't be crowded bc it is basically ALWAYS crowded during the day (even with the whole covid-19 stuff it was super crowded which worried me a bit but the trails are literally never crowded) to use the swings and I walked around the playground and if i was a kid id of probably had a blast. However the part I go back for is the skiing/hiking/biking trails. They are my main go to if I wanna hike on a trail somewhere other than on the one I live by, there's tons of variety in the trails and there's a couple bridges with really pretty streams the only thing that worries me is bugs cuz its by water and some dense foliage off to the edges of the trails so I always load up on bug spray before going as I never go during the cold season when the bugs...
