Beautiful, peaceful trail that even the young people would enjoy...not challenging, but could be as you get closer to the waterfall....at that point it becomes more rugged, lots of rocks and the path becomes a trail of rocks for a short while...overall it’s easy to follow. Once at the waterfall...the rush of water sound fills the air, the mist is refreshing as you make a seat on the large rock at the falls...it’s as if it always expects company... This is a moderate hike, about an hour (1.75 miles approx) in each direction. The first part is mostly a dirt trail with some stones sticking out of the ground, mostly level with some inclines. Once you get past the .75 mile marker, you're walking over larger stones and boulders, some slightly inclined areas, until you get to the Cove. It can be tricky, but with a good walking stick, it was doable. On a Wed afternoon, it was deserted; we only saw two...

Denny Cove waterfall is beautiful - even when it is only a trickle.

While the hike does not have much elevation change, there are enough rocky places to make it a moderately technical hike. Not for beginners.

The trail is well marked with white square diamond blazes.

The overlook is a must. Check out the view from the right and left.

The trailhead offers plenty of parking.

Remember to practice...

The trail to get to Denny Falls is STRENUOUS. I've hiked at 39/56 state parks so far and this one really exhausted me. While it's only a mile, the trail is mostly on rocks and is uneven. The trail to the bluffs is quite easy and the overlook is very beautiful. Bring your boots to walk on the rocks and because there were definitely a few snakes I ran into. Overall a nice newer area.
