This place is magical (for me) as a child and still holds the most amazing memories for me as an adult 30 years later ❤️My grandparents lived up the hill and we’d visit every summer for years. I’m still looking for photos from 20+yrs ago of the carp being bottle fed with crackers and lake water. Smith Lake is lucky to have such a wonderful marina that has been around for more than 30 years if not more. I’m looking forward to visiting again in late July with my daughter and my Mama. side note they open when they want, which is even more awesome, don’t leave a nasty review if you stopped by on an off day, they’re the oldest marina on Smith Lake so if the Alabama flag is waving...
Read moreI really wish I could rate them higher. Have bought gas here in the past. But, now they seem to be closed more than they are open. The carp are gone. I don’t know where they went. And, since they are closed, if you are coming to feed the fish you better bring your own crackers. The grandson still enjoys feeding the bream, catfish and turtles. I just wish the marina was opened more frequently or had a pay at the pump gas system. I am cautious about buying gas from someone who is closed...
