We had a blast. While we've been to various "ren fests" over the years (even having been married at one) this one is a keeper. Immediately entering the main grounds we were welcomed with delighted smiles, sounds of melodic past and the alluring scents of scrumdiddlyumptious foods and various pleasantries. The scavenger hunt was a blast as we got to go exploring throughout the kingdom searching for treasures whilst solving the many poetic riddles. There was so many fun people and places to see from the blacksmith and leatherworkers to the sweet treats and belly busting burgers. From faeries afare to elves an trolls nearby there many fun creatures to behold. All had amazing personalities that warmed the heart. Children and adults alike will have a blast with the live entertainment immerse oneself in as all the hustle n bustle of the day n day out disappear as you go back to a simpler time of life. The stresses of everyday life are put on pause and one can live carefree dressed in midieval garb whilst eating a turkey leg n sipping on sweet mead. Will we return again. MOST DEFINITELY. I bid ye farewell and see you soon as we yell out in a loud deep voice, "hip hip HAZAAH!!!".

For the amount of time this has been open these guys are doing an amazing job! For reference I visited on Sunday Oct 29th, it was small but far busier than I anticipated. Lots of small vendor tents to wander through, and a couple of activities like axe throwing and pony rides were available. I'm excited to be back for a visit in May when everything is in full throttle, but now is a great time to get a taste for whats to come! People were friendly and fair was appropriate for all ages, restrooms were clean and functional, and there were four or five places for some food drink and snacks! Definitely recommend giving this a try if you're in the area!

My daughter and Grandson brought me out to the Southeast Texas Renaissance and I really enjoyed all of it. This is a wonderful safe friendly place to bring your family and friends . Great for the kids
