East Miller Park — Attraction in Jefferson City

This park is one of the last in the city to be brought up to minimal standards. There's a big pile of freshly shredded roughly cut tree composted material about to be added to the playground. This is a substandard material containing garbage, trash, and miscellaneous debris. The playground's equipment is rusted with large paint chips peeling off. The wooden parts have splinters and untreated surfaces. Excessive insect infestation. One central restroom with one source for potable water. No electric outlets or ways to signal distress.
