First time visit to Koziar's Christmas Villiage. Ample parking for hundreds of cars, once at the entrance it's fast & easy to get in. They keep the flow of traffic going once inside. Be prepared to wait while in line for quite some time. We waited about 15 mins on the 2 lane road to enter. It is breathtaking to see all the lights once you come down the hill to the entrance. You can bring your children's wagons or carts to pull them through along w strollers. Be sure to bring your fluffy warm coats & blankets as most people come prepared to be in the cold for an average of 1 hour or longer walking through the light maze & enjoying a few stops to shop at hat shop & tree decorating shops & drink/snack shack. There are Porta potties while waiting in line to get in as well as working restroom in the center area. They have spent over 75 years making this place a wonderful walkthrough "Walkabout" for any age. The displays are clean freshly painted & updated & lights work. They have working mini railroads w acrotve trains going around the mini town displays. A mini lake w holiday banner of greetings. Every turn has a mini house or regular house displayed all throughout this original family farm. They have displays from when your parents were a kid, from when we were kids & a few modern ones too. You can show your kids what Christmas spirit looked like when you were young and continue the tradition. They literally cover EVERY Era every interest for kids from peanuts Charlie brown to dinosaurs, cowboys & Indians, cartoons and carolers. They have storybook wooden cut out story boards to read out loud & share your favorite Christmas stories while walking along with your children. Lots of photo opportunities for adults & children. Christmas music and Christmas treats. Babies, kids and big kids will enjoy all the lights & displays. There is handicapped parking as well as you can pull right up to entrance & drop off if you have wheelchairs, strollers and need to access the paved walkways immediately. I do not recommend trying to struggle wheeling through thick graveled parking lot areas...use drop off entrance paved area. Paid $18 for each adult & $16 each child as it was a ($5) prime night add on ticket to go on weekend nights so check online before going & military discounts and group discounts too. Prices are cheaper on weeknights. Check out their website first. Thus was an absolutely lovely Walkabout activity for multigeneration family to enjoy & watch entire family having...
Read moreMy first time there and I was very much looking forward to it. We went on a Friday and paid normal price +an additional fee because they called it premium. Here are some things I noticed for those concerned with mask wearing and social distancing. They said mask were required. Maybe to get in, but once past the payment entrance booth...That was not enforced. If you are concerned about social distancing, because of COVID19, you should know, thwre was NO social distancing.
Okay, on to the lights. There were some cute displays. A few picture opportunities. Some Led displays like moving trees. I however for the price ➕extra for premium time..did not feel it was worth the 1.25 hour drive. A lot of the disays were old...very old. A lot of wood cut outs with old lights shoved through them. A series of small house were set up, that you could look in, but nothing was lit up. A few shops with old merchandise, almost flea market type of things. A hat shop, bathrooms that were not cleaned. And actually I didn't use it and decided to visit a wawa down the road. Not a lot of food choices when we went. A shop to get coffee, hot cocoa, cookie . Pop corn was not available, hot dog..really light snack food.
It was crowded when we were there. It was a nice experience since I have never been there. It was not worth the extra money for a premium night/time. Would I go back? No. With all the choices to go and see Christmas light displays I feel you could get more value for your money perhaps closer to where you reside. I do believe they should consider upgrading a bit. I am 50 and I saw displays that were around when I was 10. If you have never been, it maybe something to see once. They call it a village and it appears as if there are all these little shops, but in actuality the shops are just in a large barn that is sectioned off. And again, the merchandise was flea marketish. That was highly disappointing and I bought nothing. Value for money 6/10, following Covid practices 2/10, food availability 3/10, bathroom cleanliness 2/10, shopping/shops 3/10,...
Read moreKoziar's Christmas Village in Bernville was meant to evoke holiday warmth, nostalgia, and wonder—like revisiting a timeless classic that brings joy and comfort year after year. Unfortunately, my recent experience was closer to encountering an overhyped remaster: overpriced entry fees, excessively long lines, and attractions left disappointingly outdated, untouched by innovation or improvement for decades.
The steep ticket prices set expectations high, promising magical moments and immersive holiday charm. Instead, the village offered a tired, stagnant narrative, burdened by faded displays, outdated décor, and unimaginative setups—reminiscent of a game whose graphics haven't aged gracefully. Rather than charming retro nostalgia, the scenes felt neglected, trapped in a loop of past glories without meaningful updates or thoughtful enhancements.
Worse still were the lines: excruciatingly long, slow-moving, and seemingly unmanaged, robbing the experience of any joy or wonder. Waiting felt like an endless loading screen that drained enthusiasm long before reaching the next disappointing exhibit.
Further compounding frustration were inflated prices for food, drinks, and merchandise. Even basic concessions came at premium costs, like intrusive microtransactions in what was supposed to be a joyful holiday escape. The sense of community and warmth integral to the holiday season felt compromised, traded away for relentless monetization.
Koziar's Christmas Village, sadly, seems content to rely solely on faded memories rather than genuine quality. The festive spirit was overshadowed by an experience more commercial than magical, leaving me cold, disappointed, and weary. Until genuine effort is made to refresh the attractions and respect visitors' time and wallets, this holiday tradition remains a story I...
