On my adventures through the Allegheny National Forrest I came upon the Marienville Ranger Station. I wanted to get out and stretch my legs. As I pulled in I could see the well maintained & accommodating parking lot. After parking, I made my way to the Ranger Station. As I entered I saw that it was closed, it was Saturday and I see I missed the days it was open. I needed to use the rest room of course, I’d need to find a Gas station down the road. I peered inside the best I could. I observed many information signs, safety items & general information about the Allegheny National Park. Luckily, In the foyer of the station were many pamphlets on things to do in the Park or surrounding areas. So I did take a few before returning to my car. I was glad that I got the opportunity to stop here, rest and enjoy the Ranger Station. I hope next time I’m down this way again, I can stop in when it is open.

One of the most friendly stations I have had the pleasure of visiting. Plenty to see and do nearby, great maps and support from the rangers. They were extremely generous with their time and gave my children some extra attention and swag. There's a lobby area with plenty of maps that is open 24/7. Watch out for their hours they close for lunch and limited time We got our passports stamped here and hope to come again!

Thank you to the ranger who verified we saw a bear track in the mud!!!!!!!!! It was an honor meeting you both today!!!!! You guys were so friendly. Sorry for crying. Memories from childhood just flood my mind when I visit Cook Forest/Marienville. I can't wait to visit again! Thank you for taking care of the forest and animals and people that visit!!! Much love from Pittsburgh, PA! -Casey and Paul

Genuinely the most unhelpful people. Asked to get the Centennial passport stamp they provide and the man had no clue where it was or how to use it. Kindly, the stamp was sitting right in front of him. He stamped it upside down and it didn’t even show up all the way. I have tried stopping at this office several times the past week and they are either closed for lunch or closed in general. Today we finally had a chance to go and they were not selling any merchandise. Not card or cash transactions?? No wonder state parks and national forests are failing, they don’t have...

Currently closed all the time. Not sure why. On a Tuesday - visitors were stopping by every 5 minutes. As of Oct 6, Forest County has has a total of 15 covid-19 cases since February. The foyer is open with some hiking maps in slots. But there was no overall map of the forest. No rest room, just a potta-potty. There were 20 cars in employee parking. Someone to answer questions would have been nice. Areas for peak leaves, areas with special animal sightings. Roads to trailheads that are not gated shut. Nice Forest but this is a review of the...
