Hawk's Bluff Trail is a short 0.9 mile (1.45 km) loop trail in Savannas Preserve State Park, which encompasses close to 7,000 acres of natural area. The Savannas contains the largest, most ecologically intact stretch of freshwater marsh in Southeast Florida.

The trail starts and ends on the Atlantic Coastal Scrub Ridge. This scrub ridge is composed of ancient sand dunes and is listed as a globally-imperiled habitat. It is home to scrub habitat birds such as the Florida Scrub Jay and wading birds such as the Roseate Spoonbill. The scrub ridge habitat is also home to the Gopher Tortoise. Both the Florida Scrub Jay and the Gopher Tortoise are federally listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act. The trail works its way down through the scrub to Lake Eden, which is a large marsh habitat. The Savannah's is so exquisite just enjoying the beautiful creations that God has given us but I never completely made it all the way around felt very odd in the back half or bend (weird gut feeling) turned around and went back out the way I came in. Read moreGreat early morning or late afternoon spot. My dog loves it here and we hardly ever see other people thought there are always a few cars parked.... She runs off leash and we go around the loop a few times and though she is tempted to swim it is not too challenging to keep her out of the water as there has to be some gators and water moccasins in there - but I do know many dogs swim daily there. Spectacular sunset over the water and especially mid winter. It is kind of hot summer time, but bearable and you feel so removed even though the roads are not far away.
