Finally got to cross the Pere Marquette Cross off my bucket list! 🚴‍♀️ Our bike ride took us up to this beautiful spot overlooking the Mississippi River near Grafton. The history of the cross, honoring Father Jacques Marquette, makes it even more meaningful—and the view from the top is absolutely breathtaking. Definitely worth the ride! #bucketlist

Nice little spot! Beware, and be kind, there is a beehive on the tree nearest to this cross.

Just off the side of the road. God is so good. Believe and receive.

It's an interesting historic site that goes back to the day of the first French explorers in the region. It is one of many sites associated with Pere Marquette and Louis Jolliet's voyage down the Mississippi in the late 17th century. This site is why the park it is in is called Pere Marquette State Park. There is not much of a view besides the treeline across the road which the monument is almost right up against. The stairs are very steep as a result of being close to the road, so be careful when...

I went to this place because I've driven past it 100s of times. I seen on Google it almost had a 5 star review. So I went. Expecting to be disappointed. It's a carved rock after all. But no. It's pretty cool. Great view of the river once you're atop. Kids had fun playing on the stairs. And we all learned something from the educational...
