Disappointing First-Time Experience - Poor Communication and Organization
My family and I visited for strawberry picking for the first time, excited to create memories with my two-year-old grandson. Unfortunately, the experience was frustrating due to complete lack of organization and communication.
When we arrived at 2:45 PM, we found another family who had been waiting over an hour with no guidance on what to do or where to go. There were no signs explaining the process, and despite staff being visible in the fields, no one came to greet us or provide instructions during our 30-minute wait.
After calling the main number, I discovered through a recorded message that strawberry picking had ended at 1 PM (or when berries ran out). This was particularly disappointing since their website clearly states they're open until 4 PM. The disconnect between their posted hours and actual availability, combined with the lack of any posted notices or staff communication, wasted our time and that of other families.
We were genuinely looking forward to this experience, especially for our grandson's first strawberry picking adventure. A simple sign at the entrance or having staff acknowledge waiting customers would have saved everyone's time and frustration.
I hope the management addresses these communication and organizational issues moving forward, as the concept has potential but the execution needs significant...
Read moreIt was fun, the kids really enjoyed it but there's a catch, THIS IS NOT A PICK YOUR OWN PUMPKIN PATCH!! My family and I went out last year and REALLY ENJOYED the Hay ride, shooting the tomato gun, the corn maze (the paw patrol was there SO MUCH FUN!), and choosing our own pumpkin, but that right there is an issue. We CHOSE our own pumpkins, we did not PICK our pumpkins, and when you're not expecting it, having spent near to $60 on a single carving pumpkin and 2 pie pumpkins, only tto end up with a festering pile of stinky goo SEEPING into your carpet within 48 hours of bringing them home HO HO HO you are NOT going to have a very fun time, but you WILL be extremely grateful that you buckled under and bought that can of scrubbing bubbles with the neat-o bristles lid.
So if you're looking to pack your kids up for a wonderful afternoon of fall fun and ambiance, while simultaneously trying to keep them distracted from the piles of pumpkins that you don't want leaking stinking, mucosal, mystery sauce all over your carpets than this is the place for you!
Otherwise I suggest you look for a pick your own pumpkin patch that actually let's you PICK YOUR OWN PUMPKIN.
That's the way we're going this year, and somehow it just doesn't seem as important to me this time that the Paw Patrol are going to be...
Read moreThe farm itself is fine. Plenty of "pick your own " items. Price too was not shabby. It is the professionalism or lack there of that I didnt much care for. There were signs on how to go about the farms, dog area and such. However we were greeted by a rather rude dude who said there were "a hundred dogs on the farm, leave yours in the car". I said a 100? I see 3??? I was about to turn around but then he said "dont go past the barnyard" which is essentially what the sign said anyway. How do you work there and not know your own rules. He even yelled at another customer for just walking to the raspberry area....he wasnt picking anything, just standing there. I dont think I'll be back there.. .plenty of farms...
