Took my father-in-law here. From 5:45 to 10:30 we watched fish jump out of the water. Not one bite! We used everything! Top water... Spinners, rattle traps, poppers, divers... worms, minnows we did everything but Dynamite. I would never go back if you paid me! Also...... Unbeknownst to us because it was our first time there it was electric trolling only! As soon as we got in there at around 6:00 a.m. I started up the motor and we made it to the other side of the lake in about 1.3 seconds 🤣 I shut it off and thankfully it flooded the engine and wouldn't start back up. But at that point I figured it was probably one of those lakes that you couldn't use a regular motor on.. thank God because DNR was there when we were leaving.. that would have been quite a ticket! For as small of a lake as it is... You're better off walking it. Not worth bringing...
Read moreReally nice place that you can go catfishing alligator and all kinds of stuff now that the river is feeding into it. There are different places that you can maneuver through some woods and fish not that many bass in the front 2 ponds. The larger lake has any kind of specie that's in the river. If you're lucky you'll seen a loons or two. All in all it's a pretty decent place to go hang out and enjoy the day for a walk or throw out some bobbers and try to catch some fish if you have a boat is long as you have a trolling motor on it you should be...
Read moreIf you're a birder, this is a great place to check out. We were there in the middle of February for about an hour and saw a dozen different species. Bald eagles, loons, trumpeter swans, and a variety of ducks to several common backyard birds. Bring your binoculars.
