We came to Elkin for a wedding & we were a pretty big group everywhere we went, about 20 of us. We were looking for a vineyard with good vibes, willing to accommodate all of us, & good wine. This place surpassed our expectations. We came 2 days in a row because we just couldn’t get enough in one day. The story of the owners was truly amazing and the best feeling is contributing to good people to continue the spread of amazing wine. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice view & amazing wine. Felt so welcomed here.

This was a cute venue and I definitely won’t ding someone on a review because I personally did not enjoy their wines - they just weren’t for me. They did however have a nice beer selection as well so that was also nice and had food while we were visiting ! The seating inside was plentiful although felt somewhat cramped - outside was plenty of seating with fire pits all around and adarondak chairs to sit in as well as picnic tables and umbrellas . Everyone was friendly and I would still give them 5 stars 😀

I typically don't say this about vineyards lol, but this was HANDS DOWN the BEST wine I've tasted in the vineyards north of Charlotte - and I've been to about 15 or so over the years. Bumping and Blow were just absolute winners. It's truly a hidden gem. When you approach the place, you get a stunning view of the mountains rolling into valleys. I am definitely going back there for the wine!!(Another thing I don't say often 😆).

My husband and I recently visited Golden Road Vineyards this summer while on a road trip of North Carolina. We stayed a couple of nights at the owner’s main house and were treated like members of the family! Their hospitality was above and beyond. They gave us a tour of their beautiful property and the views of the vineyard and mountains were spectacular. We were also treated to many wonderful home cooked meals made on their green egg. We still rave about the delicious smoked ribs they made us. The owners were also generous enough to let us taste some of the wine made from their own grapes and took us to a few of the tasting rooms in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stayed and can hardly wait to come back and visit when they open their tasting...

First time visiting this winery. A bit off the beaten path, but well worth the effort to find it! The venue was wonderful with a great tasting room and plenty of outdoor seating. The wine flights give you an opportunity to sample your own choice of wines. My wife and I each did a flight and mixed 1 white (petit manseng) with 3 reds. The reds are impressive, particularly the petit verdot and the cab franc. One of the owners (Chad) was onsite and we enjoyed talking to him about his background (thanks for your military service!) and his wine making passion. We look forward to coming back to GRV and sampling more of...

We are far from wine snobs, but we love visiting vineyards and the experience they offer. So HAPPY we visited Golden Road. We liked everything we tasted. Everything. Not a stinker in the bunch. Never had that happen at a vineyard. The day we visited, they had live music ... awesome too! What? I have nothing bad to say. Well, maybe the large stemless glass. Not my fave, but it was an acceptable vessel to provide that glorious wine, so workable. Not much to critique, huh. Go there. The staff is wonderful, they are fully dog-friendly, and the view on the drive out...
