Wildcat Glades Conservation & Audubon Center — Attraction in Joplin

The most phenomenal place within a 95 mile radius, but they should not place hours on a wilderness park. The current hours, as of the time of me writing this review are from 9am-5pm. This place is not a bank. In the summer, it stays light until after 9 pm here. So it is unacceptable for the park to legally close at 5. This is a top notch area for adults and children alike to explore and make unforgettable memories, but to put a time limit on your stay in a natural wilderness is dictatorship. There should never be such strict hours on such a beautiful wilderness area. There is also no public restroom! If you are lucky enough to make your entrance to the wildcat glades Audubon center, then you might have a restroom, otherwise, fend for yourself in...

I actually LOVE this place. The nature trails are exquisite! The swimming is great. Have yet to fish there. The view is good to great, depending upon where you park. The issue is- some of the people that frequent the area down by the boat ramp and picnic areas, well... can be scary, at best. I spend time down there frequently, writing, relaxing, and feel quite eeked out by some of the people. I've even had a park, or possibly a sanitation dept worker, block in my vehicle for an extended period of time, AFTER the had emptied the refuse bin near my vehicle. Bring company. Well how could you not like this place it's absolutely beautiful it's it's out in the woods but it's rotten to the edge of town there's all kinds of Wildlife hiking trails we'll meet some of the best people and you may become best friends and for all you know so yes and they even have the critical Nature Center thing out there that looks like the something not the futuristic Fred Flintstone if you haven't been there you must go and keep driving all the way down the road you're coming to a wonderful Park where there's a boat ramp swimming picnicking and walking trails pets are welcome this evening events down there so it's a must go in Joplin Missouri.
