Well how could you not like this place it's absolutely beautiful it's it's out in the woods but it's rotten to the edge of town there's all kinds of Wildlife hiking trails we'll meet some of the best people and you may become best friends and for all you know so yes and they even have the critical Nature Center thing out there that looks like the something not the futuristic Fred Flintstone if you haven't been there you must go and keep driving all the way down the road you're coming to a wonderful Park where there's a boat ramp swimming picnicking and walking trails pets are welcome this evening events down there so it's a must go in Joplin Missouri. If you are road tripping and are stopping at the loves in Joplin this is only 5 minutes away. It's a great way to stretch your legs and to see some beautiful things. There has been a lot of vandalism here. There's also a lot of trash here that's been left here. Definitely need good hiking shoes. And if you plan to scale the little cliffs down you need to be dressed appropriately. This is not a flipflop adventure.

Absolutely beautiful!!! This is my kids favorite place to go. Shoal creek is amazing. I walk the paths with my kids, hike the trails with my siblings. You can relax and walk the paths or actually exert yourself by hiking the trails. There are places to fish or just relax by the water. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. The best photos have us in them but you can get the general idea. Worth the visit!

We visited this spot for the first time in March. The conservation building was closed and looked like it was undergoing a renovation. We walked our dogs on the trail. Most of the trail is paved and goes along a nice size creek or small river. There were picnic tables and neat rocks to climb. The only downside was the noise from the highway above.

As soon as I got out of our vehicle I was greeted with this beauty. The building itself is a treat and the nature around it is completely natural, not the typical perfectly manicured landscape you would normally see which makes this refreshing. The children's play area looks freshly finished and is engaging. It's a great place and we will return.
