Reached the trailhead at 12:30pm on a Sunday in February, and was able to find a parking spot at the trailhead immediately. Lots of cars were parked along the road too. I did the 7.2 miles loop called "Maze Loop, Window Trail, and North View Loop" on allTrails, going clockwise. If you've already spent some time in Joshua Tree, the first couple of miles feel boring, but then it gets better. The views in the second half of the hike are better for sure, so you may want to go counter clockwise and then take either of the two Maze Loop connectors back to the car if you're short on time. In 7 miles, I covered around 1000 feet elevation gain, and total hiking time was 2h20m. Trail is easy to find in most places, but I do recommend loading the map on to your phone or watch for the eastern side of the trail because you're often walking on rocks and can...

Great hike. Close to the Quail Springs (Park Blvd) entrance of the park. Main loop is Maze (5 miles) but you can break it up if you want a shorter hike. Great cell service at trailhead (3 bars LTE T-Mobile). Decent cell service for a large portion of the hike with spotty dead areas. Parking at trailhead for about 6 vehicles, so don’t come at peak times. I would say this is an easy hike for experienced hikers and moderate for those unfamiliar with hiking Joshua Tree Park. Slight elevation changes. Well maintained. Signs and maps are great. I hiked in mid May and there were a LOT of spider webs, so just beware of that. Please do NOT bring your dog. It’s the rules & helps protect the environment & wildlife. Pack out any trash. I had to pick up after a few people that left trash 🙄. Overall, a beautiful hike....

Came here a few weeks ago with my SO and we enjoyed this quick hike! It really does almost feel like a maze where you can kind of walk up to the side and see that there’s so much more land and it all kind of looks like it mazes around. The trail is well marked so you won’t get lost just follow the trail. This a good place to check out some of the rock formations and the textures of the rocks. Some of the plant life is interesting there and looks beautiful. Not much of a destination hike but a good one if you want to do a nice moderate...
