We just came here as part of a tour and they were VERY unwelcoming. When we walked in, they said that they weren't expecting us. We booked this months in advanced, although I completely understand communication may not have happened. They would not allow us inside because they said they were very busy. (There was a couple people inside, but plenty of room). We understand that 15 people can be hard to accommodate. It was a very cold day and they lit 3 heaters, but not all of them. 3 was not enough for our group. A couple people from our group went inside to buy wine and the staff was very rude to them, they gave short answers plus a rude attitude. I attempted to light one of the heaters that they refused to light, but it wouldn't light after a couple attempts, so I stopped. They came out and said that they need to be the ones to light them and also attempted to light it and failed (I think it was out of propane?) We ended up buying 6 bottles of wine plus some cups of beer after they REFUSED to do a wine tasting for us. We didn't stay the full half hour that we were supposed to because we felt very unwelcomed. We did a "tasting" of the wine we bought on the bus and they did have decent wine (not outstanding, but decent). Considering we just left one of our wine tastings early so we would have time for bennet, it was a huge disappointment. They seem to only welcome regulars and are very...
Read moreWe stopped by Bennetts Winery yesterday evening. Their Pinot is pretty awesome!!! I’m not a big Pinot fan, but Bennetts changed my mind. It really was a beautiful evening, there was live music, beautiful countryside-nothing fancy but very relaxing. We brought our two Aussies Pups with us and they loved being able to lay around in the shade with nice grass. Very casual. Not crowded and plenty of seating. Bennetts is about 25 mins outside Eugene. Definitely worth a visit. We enjoyed a nice bottle of their Pinot and purchased 2 of their award winning Pinots ($40 bottle). The only negative: We asked if we could keep our glasses as a memory of a beautiful evening and of our 1st trip to the Willamette Valley from Tucson and were told no! Really! We just spent $150 + tip! But the $2 glasses are too expensive to be given as a little memento!! Really😌🙄 We were told we could purchase the glasses for $16 each. I would like Bennetts to reconsider...
Read moreWe tried Bennett last year and enjoyed a glass of Reisling. We found both of the owners were awful and rude and uninviting. They acted like they didn’t even want us there. We believe in second chances so we went out there a couple of weeks ago to have a glass and sit by the pond. Never in my life have I ever felt like we were a burden to be there. Both owners were rude again and acted like we were an...
