We've been here in the summer and fall before, and have loved the views. Unfortunately, when we tried to return for winter shots, the area was gated off. It was disappointing because we live a few hours away and made the drive since Google said they kept it open....not sure why it was closed when we went, but was definitely a bummer. We had intended to do an all 4 seasons themed photo set from Hawns. We were able to access the dam overlook with the pagoda, though. Also, if you're planning on using Google maps to navigate the area, be cautious....the navigation told us there were multiple access points to get up the mountian, but all of the "roads" were clearly posted private property and...
