Driving west towards the Black Hills, it was exciting to see a sign for a scenic overlook, and we had been driving long enough with a dog in the car to need a break, so we stopped.
Honestly, we were a little underwhelmed. I mean, the scenery wasn't bad.....but it wasn't amazing either.
To get the best views, you need to climb up the little hill to the west and look across the interstate. There's a hard to see asphalt path that is in need of some upkeep going up the hill. Be careful walking of the path, as there are small cactus...
