I used to really enjoy this university when I first came here for engineering but in the five years since I’ve come the university has only gone down hill in terms of academics. The teachers are getting worse and you are on your own for learning the subject matter. The school does not teach you how to use any programs other than basic CAD although some are required in courses. I was excited to finally take my engineering design and elective courses since over 45 different classes were suppose to be offered at WMU for my major. In my senior year only 3 out of the 45 classes were offered and only two I had the prerequisites for. Luckily I only needed two classes but the vast majority of people need more that simply isn’t offered. I also decided to minor in German, an option offered at WMU, but they refused to allow WMU students to travel abroad despite Germany allowing us to come during COVID and then proceeded to cancel german classes the following semester and didn’t allow the german advisor to create an indecent study to rectify the situation. I had to drop my German minor I spent countless hours and money working towards. I will never suggest to go to WMU ever again, especially for engineering. If you work for WMU please take time to talk to actual students and read the...

I delivered to ThermoFisher Scientific which is also on the engineering campus' grounds along with other tech companies that perhaps utilize the WMU E&AS facilities for research and development purposes or recruit interns and new engineers. Just a guess, and I'm sure it's nothing ground-breaking pun intended, but still a pretty cool idea to leave out-lots for private development to be near a...
