Great for free camping/fishing without all of the amenities. Not very crowded, quiet, decent fishing, wildlife. This lake is relatively small I wouldn't recommend a boat bigger than a bass boat. It's a no-wake lake, so keep it slow on the boats! I've heard it's great for bass, but I haven't had much luck with them. I've caught plenty of crappie, perch and channel cat (up to 19 pounds). One small boat ramp and dock. A few dug-out type bathrooms. A few small pavilions that would fit a picnic table under them. Can get a bit windy out here. I think they discourage swimming but I've never had a problem doing it.

This is a great place. There is potable water. There are several sites. Creating a little map of which sites we liked most for our RV. Overall we really enjoyed the place. It was relatively clean. Fireplaces at many of the sites. Several places with a cover. Dock and boat ramp. Toilets are available. There isn’t much to do other than fish (hence the name). We didn’t find any little trails. You can walk out on the man made piers kind of like walking around the lake. It is free, so that is awesome and there were not very many people, but that may be due to this time of the year.

Nice for primitive camping until a big camper pulls in with a noisy generator. Lake is small with no wake rules for motorized boats, so don't be that person making waves for others. Trolling motors are cool for us wanting to be basic and fishing from a smaller canoe, kayak or the bank. Overall highly recommended but one weakness is the single hole in the ground for nature's call. I brought my own porta potty and carried out all I brought in. I loved that it'll make a great place for dark night sky gazing.

This out-of-the-way state fishing lake has good road access to various camp sites all around the area. The lake appears to have good cover for fish in many different areas, particularly at the east end where there are several earthen jetties. The only drawback is that while there are a couple clearings to cast into the water at many of the camp sites, the vegetation at the water's edge can make it hard to retrieve lines in some spots. Overall, this was more of a scouting trip, and we plan to come back for an overnight trip soon. *Only saw 1 restroom building at the NW corner near the...
