I didn't get to enter but was reallg cool knowing that this was the original state capitol of Kansas. There is a lot of history surrounding Fort Riley and Junction City and finding this out was pretty amazing.

Stopped in to take some photos before moving on down the road (passing through) while on vacation. Very glad this historic site is available to explore. Easy to navigate to and from. Plenty of parking.

Not sure if this place is still open to the public or not. But it is the first capitol of the state of Kansas and it sits there on the other side of the tracks on Ft. Riley.

This is a fascinating place. Be warned, there is no AC so expect to be hot if it's warm outside. It contains the history of the first statehouse in Kansas. Lots of interesting information. I really enjoyed it, and the caretaker was very informative and such...
