Went here to play disc golf. It was our first time playing this course, we played the red baskets. Surprisingly the course had some very long drives. It was sometimes hard to find the next tee and you had to walk a ways to get to the next pad. Even looking at a map it was a bit confusing. I enjoyed this camp but I think a little better signage and maybe arrows pointing to the next tee pad would be helpful on this course. The grass was very tall (maybe due to recent rains) so just beware to bring bug spray or wear long pants and socks. I would imagine it can get lots of ticks and mosquitoes certain times of the year. Read moreSince we saved Camp Hawk from being sold by the county, the park is thriving! The addition of the cabins and RV pads have been a big bonus. The county fixed the dam, and fishing has improved. Finally, volunteers installed new baskets on the disc golf course. There's still work to do, but there is a lot of good energy...
