Nice place. Fairly inexpensive as far as state lake day passes go. 5.00 per car for a day pass. Clean bathrooms and showers. Clean playgrounds. Places for cook outs and tables for gathering. Also has electric, water, and sewage for motor campers. 10.00 per night. For camping (paying this amount gets a daily vehicle pass). Has a swimming/beach area as well. Note: the park only stays as clean as the patrons who utilize it. Please pick up after yourselves. Also be aware: there are often red flag warnings in the area and there have been fires caused by careless park patrons. Please don't be the reason the lake and surrounding pasture and farm land burn again. All that said, please visit and enjoy a relaxing day of swimming, fishing, nature...

This is a delightful gem of a state park out in the middle of nowhere. The park is attractive, clean and well maintained. RV sites are gravel with minimal leveling required. Sites have water and electric with a dump station available. We aren't into fishing but it was easy to see how peaceful and relaxing it could be. There was a combo grill and fire pit plus a picnic table at every campsite. One small annoyance, the water at the dump station was a nozzle sprayer that would not fit into our rig so we couldn't complete the rinse out of the tanks. We would definitely stop again if passing through the area. Beautiful sunflowers were all around us. No Wi-Fi signal was available at...

This park is kind of on the smaller side. The lake is a good size and nice and clean. The whole lake is a no wake zone. The camping sites and nice and big with good distance from the next site. Depending where you pick, the spots are well shaded from from nice big old trees. At the time we went there this park did not seem to have any hot water. Only one set of showers and they were by the beach. They are building a new bathroom with showers that work, but they don’t have the propane hooked up at this time. Over all this is a nice quiet park in the middle of nowhere. Not much to do outside of the park. They have a small hiking path and a...

Don't miss out on this camping oasis. We were pleased to see just about every campsite shaded with large trees. This also helped minimize the affects of a windy day. Designated swim area/sandy beach was perfect to hop in and beat the heat. Gradual slope into the water is perfect for your little ones. With several campsites right on the water, it was easy to pick one to launch our kayaks. While we used a first come first serve tent site, it appeared most RV sites were booked. The restroom / shower facility appeared newer and was very well taken care of during our weekend trip. Staff and Ranger were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
