My kids ages 4 and 6 just finished red barns 4 day farm camp and can’t stop talking about everything they got to do, see, and learn.
Brenna and her family are such an asset to the community. The family opens their farm to the community year after year to allow us to see the beloved farm animals up close and even get to feed a few:).
The farm camp experience was top notch, the kids keep telling me about all of these cool facts about animals that are housed at the farm, about crafts, snacks, free play, how the animals are fed, and even cute little stories about different animals behaviors. Where else could you do that and experience that?
Farm camp and all of our visits to the red barn have been worth every penny. I am so glad our family found this unique place.
The holiday events that are put on are also a must see. For Halloween their farm is transformed into a beautiful pumpkin patch with cute displays and photo opportunities.
For Easter the egg hunt is so well put together. My kids have been to other egg hunts but insist we got to that one year after year. They always find plenty of eggs and love trying to find the golden egg.
A few years back we hired the red barn to bring a pony out to our home for a “cow girl” party. I still years later get compliments about how fun the pony rides were.
Five stars from me and our family.
Thank you to Brenna and the Scanlan crew for making farm camp and every visit so special for me and...
Read moreI thought this place would be so much more based on the reviews but I was disappointed. It is affordable and the animals are friendly. There were just two adult staff I saw but both were friendly. The younger staff, who maybe lived at the farm, was rude and irritated. Needless to say,, we visited on a day they advertised having a “unicorn” on-site. The unicorn was a small pony (which I expected) with a few flowers on it and I’m not even sure it had a fake horn. Not even picture worthy compared to the way it was advertised. The main barn with the play area was full of cobwebs where kids were getting on the slide into a small corn pit. The sand pits and boxes had broken, old toys. The toy tractor bikes were all broken except one. Every picnic table was dirty. There was another homemade structure with two small slides attached. The structure didn’t appear safe and the ladder to climb up was rusted. A 3.5 hour trip to the Country Bumpkin Farm in the WI Dells would have been much...
Read moreThere is a fair amount of things to do here, feed and pet the animals, hay ride, corn maze, jump pad, pumpkin picking, all great things for families.
Admission is $9 per person, my only complaint, you should get atleast 1 free cup of feed to feed the animals with admission, not an extra $2
Reply Edit: Yet every person I seen had a cup of feed, and if you were truly concerned about their intake, you would make sure an attendant made sure say the donkeys at the end didn't get overlooked like half the people did because they were further down the isle and the ice cream cup of feed was already gone. Great business, great place, just don't like your reply,...
