Getting married at The Grotto in Kauai was an absolute dream come true. The Grotto itself is the most beautiful place I have ever seen in my life—it truly took my breath away. Surrounded by lush greenery and natural beauty, it felt like we were in a sacred, hidden paradise.
Everything was perfectly organized by the wedding planner at The Grotto, who made the entire process so easy and stress-free. From start to finish, it felt like something out of a fairytale.
The wedding performer was absolutely incredible—he delivered a heartfelt ceremony in both English and Hawaiian that had me in tears. It was so powerful and meaningful. Adding to the magic, there was live music playing for us the whole time. The musician had the most beautiful voice, and it created such a romantic, emotional atmosphere.
Our photographers were amazing, capturing every perfect shot effortlessly. The setting, the atmosphere, and the entire experience felt magical. I truly felt like a princess on my wedding day.
To top it all off, Smith's Family also host the best luau I have ever seen. It beautifully celebrates the many cultures that came to Hawaii, highlighting the foods, dances, and traditions that were brought to the island that make up the true spirit of Aloha. The performers were absolutely stunning and brought the entire evening to life.
I’m beyond grateful for this unforgettable experience. The Grotto is not only the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen—it's the perfect place to begin a forever love story. I can’t...
Read moreIt's a nice and easy trip up the river, but its way crowded with tourists of the worst kind (people were literally rude over seating availability to each other on the way up, really dumb). You walk like ducklings in water on the way up to the grotto after the boat ride, and again the crowds provide entertainment through stupidity by setting a turtles pace up the paved path. You can't actually walk up to or into the grotto, and the vantage point/stage they have built is so low (compared to the grotto entrance) that it literally ruins any attempt at composing a decent shot with a camera. On the boat ride, as well as in the grotto, there are some local guys and girls singing Hawaiian songs, tho at least two of the people consistently strummed the wrong chords and sang out of key. Overall I'd skip this knowing what...
Read moreWe rented kayaks near the mouth of the Wailua River - it was our first time paddling kayaks, and this was a wonderful place to learn. Along the river, we passed crowded boats filled with tourists who were taking the short guided tour to see the Fern Grotto. It's a popular wedding location, so there were tons of people there, some in formal attire. We had pulled our kayaks out of the water in a secluded spot off the main trail, and hiked up to see the Fern Grotto. It was beautiful, but way too crowded, so we were happy to hop back into the kayaks and continue paddling up the river - I highly recommend the kayaks over the...
