Great amount of wildlife here especially for being November! I came to collect honey locust seed pods so I can raise some for honey locust moths (hobby entomologist). We saw a great blue heron, swamp sparrow, beautiful singing white throated sparrows, greater oak dagger moth caterpillar, and a nuptial scorpionfly (they're harmless don't worry)!
Make sure to hide anything valuable in your cars though, we saw a white sedan driving between both parking lots acting suspicious, my husband thought it was a drug deal and said he saw them run up to a car but no one was in the car, so I think they were looking for things to steal and waiting for us to no longer be...
Read moreIt's a beautiful park .....please watch your children from my past experiences there is a lot of scratchy stuff cars pulling up to each other people waiting in cars then one pulls up they chat and exchange and leave it doesn't take a smart person to know what is taken place ....if someone gets out and they have children you know there out there letting there children play if a person goes out ther and meets a friend and they take a walk that's OK but the pull up leave ..or walk over deal is bad...
Read moreLove that they are improving the park. Got a nice partially cement, partially dirt path around the lake. No idea if it will eventually end up all cement around or stay as is. There is also a new large playground. The lake is covered in lily pads, well one of the lakes is, looks cool though. Lots of crawdads cruising around when I was walking at sunset, saw a beaver swimming among the lily pads too. And they are adding a disc golf...
