The USU Botanical Center in Kaysville, Utah, is a wonderful haven for nature lovers and anyone interested in exploring a diverse collection of trees, plants, and gardens. This beautifully maintained space offers visitors a chance to immerse themselves in nature while learning about local and regional flora. Whether you’re taking a leisurely walk or enjoying a more in-depth exploration, the center has something for everyone. One of the standout features of the USU Botanical Center is the impressive variety of trees and plants on display. Walking through the expansive arboretum, you’ll encounter everything from towering native species to carefully curated ornamental trees. The trails are well-maintained and offer a relaxing atmosphere for both casual strolls and more dedicated plant study. The wetlands and garden areas also support a variety of birds and wildlife, creating a dynamic and vibrant natural environment. To enhance your visit, I highly recommend downloading and using the Seek app by iNaturalist. This incredible free app transforms a simple walk into an interactive learning adventure. By using the Seek app, you can instantly identify plants, trees, and even wildlife you come across simply by pointing your phone’s camera at them. The app provides accurate species identification, interesting facts, and detailed information on the biodiversity you encounter. It’s like having a knowledgeable guide in your pocket, making your visit not only enjoyable but educational. Seek is user-friendly and perfect for visitors of all ages. Whether you’re a seasoned botanist, a student, or just someone curious about the environment around you, the app makes it easy to learn more about the plants and animals you see at the Botanical Center. Plus, the app offers fun challenges and lets you earn badges for spotting different types of species, adding a layer of engagement and excitement to the experience. Aside from its botanical appeal, the USU Botanical Center offers a range of other amenities, including educational exhibits, walking and biking trails, and spaces designed to support conservation and community engagement. The staff and volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to share insights about the gardens and their ongoing efforts to promote sustainability and environmental awareness. In summary, the USU Botanical Center is a gem in Kaysville, combining natural beauty with educational opportunities. Using the Seek app during your visit elevates the experience, turning it into an interactive exploration of the many fascinating trees and plants on display. If you’re in the area, make sure to stop by and see what the center has to offer—you won’t be disappointed!

This is a beautiful clean garden with fun trails to walk, access to a walking path, and nice flowers. It is a great place to bring young kids.

Great little place to relax. Did you know there is a 9/11 memorial here? Worth the visit.

Completely disgusted by the lack of professionalism this management has. I would NEVER recommend this place for receptions or events or any formal business matters.

We experience the incompetance if this management is weekend. Our friend had PAID UP FRONT, and reserved this venue for her wedding day Saturday February 9th. We showed up and the gates had been LOCKED and the manager wouldn’t answer her phone or return any messages. This place robbed our friend of having an amazing wedding day. SHE WAS LOCKED OUT AND FORCED TO FIND A DIFFERENT PLACE TO HOLD THE RECEPTION WITH ONE HOUR TO SPARE!!!!!!!!! No one deserves this on their WEDDING DAY!

As far as I’m concerned, I don’t think this place has the knowledge to run a professional business. Therefore after this experience I would absolutely NEVER...

Unfortunately disappointing. We were expecting something similar or on par with Red Butte Gardens in SLC but the center is terribly run down. Walking paths have practically disintegrated and the 'gardens' are bone dry consisting only of overgrown weeds. Quite a shame as the location has great potential to be a beautiful garden but, presumably due to total negligence by USU and local partners, it has fallen into a...
