I just move to SLC from Kalamazoo, Michigan, and I was looking for a church to call home. I came from a traditional AME church that transitioned to non denominational around 2022. God led me to The Point Church through an online search. The first thing that caught my eye was the emphasis that they put on diversity. I watched online for the first couple weeks to get a feel for the church, and I was enjoying the service and worshipping in my home. When I went in person, I was greeted with so much warmth and kindness. The worship team is incredible; they had me so vulnerable in the spirit. Pastor Cory is very genuine, relatable, and nonjudgmental - truly a great leader. I also chose to go on the 102nd birthday of the church and was fortunate enough to learn about the history. The Point Church has been resilient to remain a pillar of the community and work diligently to serve God. We have a new baby who has problems and they knew that my granddaughter was pregnant and never called to see if we were okay or ask about the baby.
