I love this little square of forest and public land in the middle of farmland. It's a beautiful little paradise with a picnic shelter, tall trees, and a little parking. The one thing is that when the nearby dairies start to water their crops with cow waste water, it smells pretty bad. It's not unbearable if you're used to farm country, but it's not pleasant.

STOP cutting down the trees, the are "thinned enough! Get the people living, or squatting, there out and open a coffee shop! I would also suggest resuming camping, especially for distance cyclists, and a safety fence (made of logs maybe) around it due to the traffic.

I met up with a friend at the halfway point between our houses-me SE Salem her McMinnville- and this was the spot. It's like the nicest rest area ever! My dogs were having a great time, and then, some gentleman politely chatted for a moment, and basically asked about which side of the gate my car was on bc he would be locking the gate, well my car wouldn't be affected, so I kept walking with the dogs. My fiancee approached telling me how rude I'm being because he told him it was time to go. So I herd the mutts to the car and he's waiting for us to lock the gate! Ok.... But it's very pretty with lots of trees (durp it's Oregon) so it would be a good place to take dogs when it's hot. There was only the park ranger (?) and one other person, but it was kinda late. I didn't go to the restroom, but it looked nice and clean. In fact, everything was very clean there. It was starting to get dark, so because of my above story, we can assume the park closes at...

I really like this park. My kids like to ride their bikes or skateboards here and it's great for outdoor lunch. Hardly ever anyone out there.

-Gave 1 star review because of park service. We paid to rent the covered area for the day and I had called and left multiple messages as well as emailed them to have them set up the games (that are provided for free if requested) but nobody ever responded. We got there and no games. It was disappointing. Don't offer a service if you aren't going to provide it. Ridiculous to pay almost $60 for something and have nothing to...

Mad Williamson State Park is,a great place to take your furry friends for a walk. The park is generally not over crowded and is kept up very well. There are many types of trees and plants to enjoy. During mid to late summer, there are fresh blackberries to pick and enjoy throughout the park area. If you need a little solitude to enjoy nature, this park will definitely provide...
