UPDATE. So I finally got to camp at ledge park spot "G" for tent camping Great place quiet and peaceful nice small and easy hiking trails around the camping spots ,water and bathrooms readily available clean and well taken care of would recommend although I do have a small issue with the showers themselves, there is no way to regulate the temperature I was there during the hottest weekend of the year so far and the water was boiling hot so by the time I got out of the shower I was already sweating it was a sauna in there lol hopefully they update them in the near future, but not a bad place for a weekend stay, pricing was very fair IMO similar to State camping spots $20+ and no need for a yearly sticker ,FYI they sell wood by the host camp spot .the spot itself "G" and really all of the camping spots are not very private just another FYI but the shade is awesome during the whole day and it gets windy which I personally like. great first time camping with some minor issues nothing that would stop me from coming back .

(First time review)Ledge park ,tbh I wasn't expecting much of this relatively small park and while it is on the smaller side its a great beautiful park the rock formations are awesome and the scenic view is beautiful can't wait to watch the autumn 🍁 trees changing color , the trails are not that long and very easy imo . I saw they have campsites but can't comment on does I just know they are free since it's not a state park location so no entrance fee or camping fee all in all a great day hike and even better y you couple it with horicon state Marsh (just a couple of miles away) highly...

I have been hiking here since I was a little boy! Amazing views, rugged terrain with a lot of rocks sticking out of the ground and roots! So be prepared for that. The park gets it's name because it is a limestone ledge. There are caves, trails, woods, cliffs and overhangs. I included a picture of the top part of the park as well as the bottom part where there are mossy rocks. Depending on the time of year, the bugs can get thick since you are in the woods for the majority of the trails. If you have kids, keep them close in order to avoid them tripping and falling. There is a park for kids and a pond at the bottom part of the park. They offer camping here as well, though I'm unsure of the exact prices. I remember it being very affordable though! No admittance charge if you are just walking the trails! Have fun at this...

This little park is a hidden gem with beautiful panoramic views of Horicon Marsh and amazing geological features where an ancient sea battered the Niagara Escarpment to create wonderful formations such as sea stacks, grottos, small slot canyons and natural arches. There are few other places like it in southeastern Wisconsin. A very well-managed mature forest has been developed in the park and many interesting plants abound, particularly in the Spring.

This is not a place for small children, as there are many overlooks from which a fall would be fatal. It is also fairly easy to wander onto abutting private property, as there are many unmarked trails that stray outside the boundaries.

If you've never been to Ledge, it is well worth a visit, particularly in the...

I had a really great few hours exploring here with my parents and my two boys, 9 & 11. As we entered we followed the sign to the right to the scenic overlook while going straight would have taken us to camp grounds, playground, etc. We parked at the first parking area-a strip of spots for 8-10 cars or so. I didn't count. We went into the trail right there, took a left and found that we were immediately in beautiful rock formations that we could climb up, down, and around. We even found a cave that went under the trail at one point. It was right and the boys and I just barely fit through. There were many beautiful scenic outlooks where we could see for miles and miles. The boys were thoroughly entertained but TIRED after all the climbing. I have a feeling we'll be back.

This is a very scenic park that includes great overlooks of the Horicon Marsh and countryside. The park has been improved with new bathrooms and shower facilities. The hiking trails are generally well marked and easy to follow, primarily following the ridge. The southern end of the trail is both scenic in the rock formations and somewhat treacherous for walking. Certainly not an area for little kids. The trail surfaces on the southern end also have many areas of rocks sticking up in the trail that are tripping hazards. Further to the north that levels out and becomes more wooded. There is a fairly large camping area with a newer kids playground. Overall score of 4.5 for a county park
