I've been coming here for decades. Absolutely beautiful views of Mount Saint Helens, and lots of plaques which offer interesting information about the mountain and the area. Lots of parking here, and decent amounts of snow in the winter. This spot is more crowded and popular this year than years passed, probably because Highway 504 is closed further up so Johnston Ridge and Loowit Viewpoint aren't accessible without hiking the Boundary Trail. Overall, this is a great view of Mount Saint Helens. Lots of photogenic views and very easy to get to. Also, the pathways are paved so it appears to have good accessibility for those who need it.

Lastly, please remember to stay on the trails and pathways. There are signs here warning you not to go off the trails, and the finest are pretty steep if you do and are caught. This area is still recovering, so it's important to stay on the trails so that nature can...

This viewpoint may not offer the best view of Mount Adams, but it more than makes up for it with stunning, expansive views of the valley below. The scenery here is peaceful and wide open, giving you a great sense of the landscape’s scale and beauty. It’s a perfect spot to relax, take photos, and appreciate nature from a different perspective. Definitely worth a stop if you’re...

I was there on a day that the volcano was covered in clouds. That was only the top and I was able to understand the scope by what I could see under the clouds. It was only 40 degrees out, but didn't feel too cold. I was also there when 504 was closed past cold water lake. Definitely a nice drive since it was an off season. I can't imagine what it's like...

Pretty. Cool. Windy on the trail on the 28th of June. Some snow on the mountain, with the top hidden by clouds. Hiked up from the road turn off about 3/4 mile to the observatory, where we saw it was 49 degF. There was a bench on the trail where we ate lunch and studied the mountain and the clouds.

Beautiful view of the lake and on clear days you can see Mt St. Helens in the near background. I happened to go in the evening when I was the only one around. Very peaceful and easy walk around the area and surrounded by nature's serene views the entire time.
