Elroy-Sparta National Trail — Attraction in Kendall

This is a really pretty bike trail.. We parked at the visitor center in Kendall and rode our bikes through two tunnels to the third tunnel. All in all about 36 mi round trip. The tunnels and construction of them is really cool but you do have to walk your bike through them. This part of the trail is in the woods a lot so not so hot on sunny days. I complained at the trail headquarter on a security issue between tunnel #3 and tunnel #2, short after tunnel #3. The DNR guy was not really interested and answer that they need rain. There is something like sand bunker on the way making it difficult/dangerous to ride a (road)bike on the trail.
