Dix Stadium — Attraction in Kent

A.R.I.S.E cheer and football were having there practices at this location. It was very big. The outdoor football arena was turf, so it was very hot! The bathroom outside was nice and tidy and right in the center of the indoor and outdoor arena. They also had bathrooms attached to the areas as you circle around it but I didn't use any of those. In the main entrance which was not far away at all, right down the stairs, from the outdoor stadium, central air and bathrooms were inside. Two vending machines available with water and dry snacks. The indoor arena was were cheer took place. Overall very nice facility but it was hot those days especially because of that turf ground for practice outside. I can not approve or disapprove of the staff or the workers at these stadium because we didn't rent it out. Our children and friends were just apart of the practices that were being held outside. The man from the Dix Stadium that I saw running around was doing a great job of hustling back and forth to get different items, but he was the only person that I knew of, who work for the actual stadium, not for the A.R.I.S.E group that...

I used to be part of the KSU Marching Band... the MGF, Marching Golden Flashes. Seeing the DOZENS of other reviews posted with pictures of the band really makes me smile... :)

Ahem. Stadium is good, upper management could make slightly better choices during game day... (scoreboard loudspeaker is TOO loud. And this is coming from a band member! other logistics such as parking and routing are usually good but you'll want to arrive early!)

I'm extremely biased due to my experiences with the band, but I loved the stadium all the years I performed there. Hopefully KSU continues to upkeep this place for years to come....

This was a fairly nice place, but several drawbacks resulted in taking a couple stars. Poor service in several (no less than 3) areas, and a completely unnecessarily loud loudspeaker that practically shattered my eardrum. I want to also mention...I got a pulled pork sandwich from 1 of the concession stands...and it was served WITHOUT bbq sauce! Really? I have had pulled pork from hundreds of places, reaching back decades, and NEVER ONCE had it been without bbq sauce. Until Dix Stadium. I went back and checked...no sauce off to the side or anything. This was annoying enough for 1 star...
