This place is OK. Yes it’s a great Kentucky swimming hole with exceptionally clear water & lots of fish and a cool spot to jump into the water. Aside from that, you might as well go to the lake for FREE. I used to work here and only got paid 11$ an hour, it was 20$ per person to enter the quarry. They have raised the price to 35$ a day for people to come and swim (which is nearly as much as they make the scuba divers pay (40$) I think it’s ridiculous). You can no longer chill at the nice shaded spots or at ANY of the picnic tables/grill areas that are provided because they are VIP and you must pay 30 more dollars to reserve one of those. When you do lay your towel down on the ground to dry off or get a tan there are thousands of fire ants and tiny red bugs that crawl all over you. You also cannot swim without a float, so don’t get too excited to go snorkeling.. you’ll surely have someone come up and tell you that you must be with your float. If you don’t care about any of this and are wealthy enough to spend 35$ to swim for a few hours- it’s a great place for that! 🤪🤪🤪 I usually love the quarry but like many others, I do get annoyed by the yearly price hike and the loss of “first come first serve” spots that were there in seasons prior. ♥️

We had a beautiful and relaxing girls day out at The Quarry. We rented VIP spot 8 and had direct access to the water. It was nice having our own space, picnic table, and parking spot to lay all of our stuff out. The water was so clear, the fish were friendly, and the vibe was calm. The food truck had a nice selection of eats for around $6-$8. My only complaint would be that the $35 price is a little high for lake access when comparing it to the cost of other attractions such as theme parks, pools, or zoos/ museums. I would return but probably no more than once or twice a season due to the cost. However, the extra $25 for a VIP spot is definitely worth it. They do thoroughly check your tickets and ID'S as well as search your vehicle as stated clearly in the rules so don't be surprised or rude about it.

I love this place, it's the second time I come, this time better prepared and with family, it's a quiet place, very clean and well-kept, only the sound of the birds and the splashing of the water, very crystalline by the way, don't be afraid of the fish, they are harmless, there are VIP areas for those who want to shelter from the sun and have more comfort, the entrance price is true that it may seem a little high but it's really worth coming, it is necessary to fill out all the information online for your safety more than anything, alcoholic drinks or drugs are not allowed, it's better that you swim sober 😅, anyway, I have many positive things to say about this place, I'm glad it exists since there are not many places as clean and relaxing where you can enjoy and cool off from the intense heat

This is our 2nd Summer here, enjoying what I call , a little piece of HEAVEN ,RIGHT here on earth. Our little getaway spot. I love how we were checking in and greeted by Name. First thing, Their customer service is extraordinary and thats what keeps us coming back! From the time you drive through the gate, till you put your toes in the beautiful, clean, clear water, we have been treated with the upmost respect and feel like FAMILY. Tiffany and the other staff, have gone above and beyond. Rather it be bringing us a basketball for the goal, or picking up our trash, or just stopping by chatting and making you feel appreciated and welcomed. We have traveled everywhere and this is our favorite GETAWAY. We have met some wonderful friends, from all over the place. We love the fact that it's a safe place. If your looking for a FUN, RECOVERY related atmosphere, this is it. We treat this place like its ours, cleaning up behind ourselves and a ok sometimes others. Making sure we respect FRP lagrange QUARRY.. the first weekend opened 6/6 we brought our 64 year old mother. She had the best time, floating her stressful week away. This is one of the most beautiful places to visit in KENTUCKY. We will always support FRP. THANK YOU. for making us feel like family. And for the upmost RESPECT from all your STAFF. LEAVE ALL YOUR DRAMA AND STRESS AND WORRIES AT HOME AND MEET US AT THE QUARRY... love the wind in my hair, sun in my face. And floating All day at the QUARRY. This year we bought a 8 person LAKE FLOAT , AND ENJOYED IT SO MUCH. Brought our daughter and her Bf and his mom. Ain't nothing better. Amazing family day. We brought our grill and cooked out, and had a Blessed day. Worth the drive. We give this place a 10 star 🌟 Thank you for your kindness, and hospitality. It's most definitely a place of acceptance and belonging for us. We love it. Thank you again ...

It is robbery that you kept money from 4 people that didn't even make it in because they didn't know they had broken a rule.

Then the checker said he was joking about it. They had no clue and no one said where or anything. It was asked over and over. The person (young) kept laughing at them and when they asked if he was joking, he said yes. It still wasn't clear that he had really found anything.

Who remembers something in cargo usually? She had no idea. I get that you expect people to be sneaky, but geeze, refund the money and be clear about what's happening. Don't let teens or young ppl laugh and act like they are joking, then even say they are joking, which confused everyone in the car.

I get there are rules, but if you turn the person around before they make it in, you should refund, as they didn't break any rules if they weren't actually inside.

Again, they seriously thought the guy was joking.

My daughter, who has an anxiety disorder just spent an hour freaking out because there were cops involved, the manager was horrible and no one in the car understood what was happening until the end of the ordeal when someone FINALLY told them. This was not communicated clearly, which caused more trouble than that place is worth.

Also, whoever was in charge needs to learn to be professional! Rudeness and aggressive, condescending tones are trashy by the way.

Learn how to treat people fairly. If they actually weren't meaning to break a rule or gain entry, then refund their money! They did not use your space or actually try to break your rules.

It is stealing from poor college kids and ruining someone else's birthday over a misunderstanding. Which ruins my day when I have a crying daughter on the phone because the whole thing scared...

Let me start by saying, the falling rock park is absolutely beautiful. It's truly a magical place. And swimming for the day is a great deal for $10. HOWEVER, the price for camping is RIDICULOUS. $30 A PERSON is a rip off. I've never seen a place charge that much. I could see $30 for a whole camp site, but not $30 a person. That's insane. I camped there ONCE and will never do it again because of the outrageous price. Also, they really make you feel like a criminal the way they search your car for alcohol. I mean, there is a sign every 5 feet saying "no alcohol" and you have to get out of your vehicle and they rummage through every thing. They even went through my friends purse. That's a bit much. You basically have to take a blood oath to get in by signing all these papers and your going to ransack my things too? I don't think so. I don't think my friends and I will be going back. Not because we can't drink, but because they take it way too far. It's nuts. AND, my last complaint. The park is for people 18 and up. Which is fine. I enjoy that actually. But the last time I was there, one of the employees brought her children and they were swimming in the quarry. That's unfair. I have to pay a babysitter so I can come enjoy the quarry, AND I have to pay to get into the quarry. I SHOULDN'T SEE ANY CHILDREN. I DON'T CARE IF YOU WORK THERE OR NOT. RULES ARE RULES. FOR EVERYONE. I don't think my friends and I will be going back to that place. I loved it and have been many times but camping is over priced and if staff can't follow the rules that are in place I don't want to be there when other people stop following...
