I recently had the opportunity to visit the Creation Museum, and let me tell you, it was an incredible experience! If you’re a Bible skeptic, I believe this place has the potential to spark your curiosity and offer a fresh perspective on the world’s creation. The museum is a 75,000 square foot facility filled with captivating displays, friendly staff, and so much to explore!

As soon as you step into the Creation Museum, you’ll be greeted by state-of-the-art exhibits that have been carefully crafted to present the biblical views on creation. What makes these displays truly unique is how they compare the world views to the Bible views, making it easier to understand the different perspectives. Imagine walking through time, seeing dinosaurs living alongside humans and uncovering the wonders of our world through the lens of biblical accounts!

One of the most intriguing aspects of the Creation Museum is its ability to engage visitors of all ages. It’s designed to make complex ideas accessible, even to a 6th grader like you! In an effort to keep my experience to the Creation Museum free from bias, I decided not to read any reviews. I also see the irony of now writing a review for others that may consider a visit, but after reading many comments left by past visitors, my goal is to provide a sincere review. Without stepping a foot in the door, I think most people have a basic understanding that a Creation Museum was going to present and even celebrate an alternative to evolution using the scientific method. However, I found that the debate over creation vs evolution dominated the difference between 5 Star and 1 Star reviews. Regardless of your view, respect for different viewpoints is a belief we can all agree to share. I am a Christian, but do not share all the creation beliefs, but that is exactly the reason I visited the museum, to have a better understanding, and perhaps even find connection to my beliefs. As I walked around the museum, I saw many high quality exhibits that attempted to provide detailed explanations of creation. However, the amount of reading could feel overwhelming, and even confusing at times. This did lead to some frustration with my understanding. I can also see how this could lead to someone falling back on what is comfortable, and start looking for things that would reinforce a viewpoint. Things like price of admission, quality of food, or gift shop selection are important, but I do not think they are factors that should be used to fuel an evolution vs creation belief debate. Instead, my recommendation is to visit with an open mind. Even if you share a different viewpoint, you can look for connections. For example, simply recognizing that creationism is attempting to use the scientific method, a tool from a completely different viewpoint, in an attempt to find a possible shared connection. I am sure you could find many more examples of connections in your visit. Ultimately, I do recommend visiting the Creation Museum, but I do think price is a major factor to consider. Admission is on the high side, and the additional cost for parking seemed excessive. Add in food, extra add on shows, possible gift shop items, and the costs could be considerable. The museum states that the price is high to help maintain the exhibits, and to provide future projects. I do agree that the museum is clean, high quality, well maintained, and appears to be building new exhibits. However, as admission rises, it naturally becomes cost prohibited to more and more people. Where to start? There are better reviews than I will write. This was part of my 25th anniversary excursion with the Mrs. We also went to the Ark Encounter. Overall, we really enjoyed both attractions. Creation Museum specifics. The main museum exhibit trak is well done and informative. You will read.. A Lot! You will walk and stand.. A Lot! It took us a day and a half to do the entire museum. We looked at all the exhibits. We did both planetarium shows, extra cost but worth it. Buy combo ticket for planetarium. Noah's Cafe was good for lunch. Pricing was fair, not extortion like at other attractions like an amusement park or sporting event. The zoo here was underwhelming. The Ark zoo was better. Make sure to see the Truesong concert at the Legacy Hall. I was really blown away by the Borderlands exhibit on the lower level. The dinosaur and insect exhibits were awesome. We saw people doing zip lines. Looked fun but not for us, extra cost. From the Dragon themed gift shop on the upper level I bought a book bundle with the placards from both the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. I bought a separate book that had all the information from the Borderlands display. The Borderlands exhibit was not part of the aforementioned book bundle. The dinosaur, insect and Borderlands exhibits are not part of the main museum exhibit trak if you will, so I think that is why they are not in the book bundle of main exhibit placards. We bought the three day bounce pass ticket with the parking add on. We needed all 3 days to do both the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. We split our 2nd of 3rd day between both attractions. At end of 2nd day, we stayed at the Comfort Inn at Lawrenceburg, IN. It is about a 10 minute drive to the Creation Museum. There is a pizza shop and movie theater right beside the hotel and it has an included breakfast buffet. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the museum. I thought the Ark which is impressive would over shadow it but it didn't. By the end of each day I couldn't read any more. Just so much to take in! Information overload.
