Had an amazing time with our family today at the farm. There was very friendly staff throughout... the vendor trucks had some great food. The land is well kept very clean and manicured. Large parking area but it's a little bit of a walk for elders... they should consider a handicap parking area or drop off area.
As for the activities they have a train tractor ride for the kids....(adults can ride too) they had a HUGE corn maze, 2 big slides but they have a height requirement of around 4ft I think ๐ค they have a large corn pit for everyone to get in and play. My son loved it. There was a huge pillow jump area which was packed. There was a very cute carousel set up in the barn. There's a obstacle course for the older kids and a hay pyramid and maze. A small haunted house. There's a pedal car track for the older kids. A cute barrel train ride for smaller kids.
The apple cannons were a blast....(see what I did there ๐คฃ) the face painting mom and son team were excellent ๐ ๐ . They have a large indoor market with lots of goodies and decor. There's a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch which the lines stayed pretty long.
A decent size petting Zoo with sheep, goats, llamas, donkeys and cows. They sell ice cream cones with food for $1 ea to feed the animals. A very nice outdoor hand washing station with the good excel air dryers at each end just outside the petting zoo.
We spent all day there and still didn't get everything done. But we all had a blast and made some great memories. I do believe we will make this a...
ย ย ย Read moreWent there with my husband on a Saturday. We had never been there, but we've been to Huber's and a couple of other farms in the area before Covid.
It was very lovely there, and my favorite part was feeding the goats for $1 for each cone of food. However, I saw two areas of difficulty. It would've been nice to have some directions on how things worked. It was obvious by the sign at the ticket booth that to do any of the activities, you had to pay $20 per person for a bracelet that included most activities. They claimed they couldn't just sell individual tickets due to Covid, which I doubt was really the reason. Great deal if you want to try everything, but really, we just wanted to do the corn maze and pick pumpkins. It cost $3 per person to ride the trolly that took people to the pumpkin patch, but we had to ask someone to find that out. It seems they assume you have bought a bracelet, so there are no signs to indicate you have to pay to be taken out to the pumpkins. And you can't just walk to the patch. They were unprepared for the number of people who wanted to eat lunch there. Either that, or Food Trucks, who said they'd be there, didn't show. We waited in line for 30 minutes for one food truck without ever making it to the front. Eventually, we went inside and found the Cafe, and got much faster service there.
So if you've never been, consider going with someone who has, so they can show you how it all works. Just be prepared to pay $20 per person, no matter how many activities you want...
ย ย ย Read moreMy family and I have been to Galleria farms a couple times now and overall in my opinion it's definitely better then Huber's but the last time I went they had just got the kangaroos in the petting zoo and I was very disappointed at the enclosure that not 1, but 2 were in. It's literally a 15ร15 fenced area with a lifted house where the rabbits use to be. I mean it's plenty big enough for a couple rabbits but for 2 50-75lb kangaroos is rediculous. We even went to the front counter where you pay for produce and products and asked the lady there (she was suppose to be in charge) if that was going to be their(kangaroos) new home or if it was just temporary. She told us that where the kangaroos are at is where they're going to stay because they like small areas because it makes them feel comfortable. That answer is about like me saying I like living in a car for my life, a beetle, not a camper. Just rediculous. We looked up multiple websites to read up on kangaroos and how big there living space should be if they're kept in captivity. For 1 kangaroo it said it should be at least 50x50. I'm not tree hugger or animal activist, I have no other complaints about the rest of the animals or farm in general but my wife and I were pretty upset observing the kangaroos in such a small area and then we're really aggravated when the lady tried to tell us that they(kangaroos) would rather be in an area the size of a truck bed then the same amount of area as the goats...
